Brain Games: Boost Your Memory

How could I possibly forget this? Why is it so hard to remember some things and not others? Memory is a complex cognitive ability. Hundred years of research have not yet completely uncovered how it works. However, we now know that there is not one single memory system in the brain. It is possible for instance to dissociate between short-term and long-term memory (click here to learn more). We also know that memory can be trained and improved at all ages. It takes effort but it is possible. The key is to…use and stimulate your memory systems!

Here are 2 exercises to stimulate your long-term memory. Performing these exercises will engage neurons mostly in the temporal lobes (in green here) and frontal lobes (in red) of your brain.
